Pregnant Belly = Bongo Drum..
Ok, so I guess it's normal for me to be a little more excited about baby movements than Bryan. It's my baby growing in my belly. Though Bryan is excited about the birth of our daughter, I know he can't possibly comprehend what it is like to actually feel her kicks, hiccups, and other movements. That being said, he does have his ways of bonding with our unborn... My belly has become a bongo drum. When he leaves for work or greets me at the end of the day, he kisses me and does a quick 'bumba-da-da-bumb' right on top of what could possibly be Mila's head or bottom. Hopefully, she won't hold a grudge.

First Entry...
I'd like to start off by saying, thank you Nicole. I truly look forward to reading your blog every week. You inspired me to start my own. For everyone reading this, Nicole's blog is definitely worth checking out. http://bjaby.blogspot.com/ She's hilarious.
I started this blog because I wanted to have a way to record and share my preggo experiences with family/friends. Create a memoir, if you will.
So today I am 26 weeks pregnant with my little girl, Mila Jade. I've been feeling her move since about 21 weeks. In truth, I probably felt her before that but confused her with gas. Yeah, for those of you who have not yet experienced pregnancy, it is really really difficult to distinguish baby movements from gas... in the begining.
How did we come up with my little gas bubble's name? Well, after considering and discarding nearly every name in the world, Bryan suggested Mila. At first I didn't really like it. A few weeks later he said it again and that was it. I knew that was her name. That had been her name the whole time. Then I suggested Jade. Why? Eh, I wanted something different. Jade is different enough without being weird. Bryan liked it too and so that was her name.. Mila Jade Roland.
So far, everything is going great. She's healthy, I'm healthy. Bryan and I still haven't found a place yet, but I'm not panicking. Not yet. We did get a kitten, Mally. She's a fiesty calico who likes to munch on toes and fingers whenever possible. Bryan and I both have battle scars from her covert attacks. Mally better be sweet to Mila. If not, she's out.
This pic was taken right at 24 weeks.
